Mission: State of the Union
Location: USS Ganymede
Timeline: Prime

Location: Bridge, USS Ganymede

It was 0847, and Dyllon was stepping out of the turbolift onto the bridge. As he did so, an ensign standing next to the helm yelled "Captain on the bridge."

Dyllon nodded and said, "Good morning, everyone. As you were."

He was pleased to see Commander K'Rah'San had beaten him to the bridge, and was standing up out of the captain's chair, awaiting him.

Dyllon walked up to K'Rah'San, "Are you ever going to let me beat you to alpha shift?"

K'Rah'San smiled, his fangs sticking prominently out of his mouth, "Never, sir."

Dyllon looked around, and saw that most of alpha shift had arrived as well, and were switching places with their gamma shift counterparts. He then turned towards the view screen, and took his seat. K'Rah'san took his place to his right.

Lietuenant (JG) Rogi stepped out of the turbolift and onto the bridge. He hadn’t slept very well last night, mostly due to excitement, but drinking two mugs of coffee before leaving his quarters would hopefully give him a much needed caffeine kick.

Sutan looked around the bridge to see it was very busy. The Gamma to Alpha shift change was in progress and he saw the Captain had arrived.

Lieutenant Steele arrived to the bridge and stepped off the turbolift and headed for his post. He was to the left of the captain's chair at Operation duty area. He had already familiarized himself with the ship and the station so he would be keen to working it under pressure. He started to review the notes form the Gamma Shift which would help him get up to speed with any issues while he awaited the captain's order to start the mission ahead.

Dyllon began calling for status reports. "Mr. Steele, are all cargo and personnel aboard?"

Donovan looked up from his console, "Industrial replicators are aboard, and all personnel are accounted for, captain."

Dyllon nodded, and turned his head a bit right, "Mr. Rogi, status?"

“We are ready to go whenever you are, Captain.” Sutan reported once he had taken his seat at the helm. His fingers moved furiously across the controls, “Engines appear to be working at optimal levels, impulse drive fully functional.”

"Very good." Dyllon tapped on his commbadge, "Bridge to Engineering. Chief, what's our warp status?"

"Brige, warp is ready at your discretion sir," E'Lor said smiling finally.

"Acknowledge," Dyllon tapped his commbadge to close the channel. "Mr. Sheppard, tactical status?"

"We should be ready for anything the Cardassians throw at us, captain", Ben replied.

"Alright, Mr. Steele, disconnect umbilicals, and retract docking clamps. Mr. Rogi, once you get an all clear from Ops, let's clear moorings at half thrusters, and once clear of the pylons, proceed at quarter impulse. And please don't scratch the paint job." Dyllon said, taking a ship from his mug.

"Aye, Sir." Steele replied as he disconnected the umbilicals, retracted the docking clamps and signeled to Rogi the all clear.

“Yes, sir!” Sutan called from the helm. The Bajoran flight navigation officer moved his hands over the helm input controls carefully and carried out his Captain’s orders. Technically it was the first time he’d been in control of the Luna-class starship, if you didn’t count holodeck test flights. But he wasn’t nervous. He was excited! “Now clearing pylons, Captain. Speed is one quarter impulse.”

Dyllon looked to K'Rah'San, then back to the front of the ship. "Alright. Helm, lay in a course to Cardassia. Warp 8 on my mark."

“Aye sir, laying in a course for Cardassia,” Sutan reported, “warp 8 is ready at your mark.”

"Alright, let's get it done." Dyllon brought his hand down with two fingers extended forward, and the Ganymede jumped to warp.

E'Lor watched the core as it pulsed faster and remained smooth and kept steady. Very pleased she returned to her office to finish her final reports dealing with the upgrades and status of the lady. It wasn't long before she had finished and took the report and headed for the captain and bridge.
